In short

You don’t need an account, there are no ads and we don’t track you. We see which addresses are looked up, but we don’t know who looks up what. We don’t build profiles, and we don’t store your location. What you save in the app stays on your device and in your own iCloud.

For the website and the app

What happens when you look up an address

To build the report, we send the address (postcode, house number, coordinates and neighbourhood code) to the sources: PDOK and the Kadaster, CBS, RIVM, RVO (EP-Online), the Klimaateffectatlas, the Leefbaarometer, Naturalis and Wikipedia. Sometimes directly, sometimes through our server (thuisrapport.nl). KNMI only receives the number of the nearest weather station. We use the address to fetch the data, and don’t put it in a database or log of our own. Our hosting provider does keep technical logs for a short time, and these may contain a request.

Your location

Thuis Rapport only asks for your location when you tap or click Homes nearby (Woningen in de buurt on the website). Your location is then sent to PDOK to find the addresses around you. We don’t store it. You can always say no: searching by postcode or street works without your location.

What we don’t do

For the app

What the app saves
Searching in the app

In the app, too, the address goes through our server to the sources, and stays in our hosting provider’s technical logs for a short time. So if you look up your own home, your address is in there too. We don’t know who looks up what: the app keeps no statistics, and we don’t link an address to you or your device.

Maps

The app draws maps with Apple Maps, with layers from PDOK, the Klimaateffectatlas and RIVM. They receive a map area, not an address. For the maps in the PDF, that is the area around the home.

For the website

Visitor statistics

No cookies and no ad trackers. We keep simple visitor statistics, without cookies. They show which pages are viewed. Because the address is in the link of a report, we also see which addresses are looked up. We don’t know who looks up what: the statistics can’t identify you.
