How the app works

Search

Enter a postcode and house number, or search by street and town. With “Homes nearby” you see the addresses around you. The app only uses your location when you tap it.

Overview

Your own start screen with the blocks that matter to you. With “Choose blocks” you turn blocks on or off and drag them into the order you want.

Report

All blocks for an address, by theme: home value, climate, energy, health, safety, social and nature. Tap ··· for an explanation and the source. With “Share as PDF” you can share or print the report.

Saving

Tap the bookmark to save an address. In Overview, swipe from one saved address to the next. “Remove from saved” removes an address again.

Notes & photos

For a saved address you can add a note and photos, for example from a viewing.

Compare

Put up to three addresses side by side. Each column is headed by its address, so you always know which figure belongs to which home.

Home address

You add your home address yourself in Saved, with “Add home address”. The app doesn’t take it from anywhere else.

Appearance

Light, dark or the same as your iPhone: choose under Appearance in Saved.

Language

The app is available in English and Dutch. It follows your iPhone’s language; you can also choose under Language in Saved.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?

From Dutch government open data: the Kadaster (BAG and WOZ-waardeloket), CBS (Statistics Netherlands), the police (via CBS), RIVM, RVO (EP-Online), KNMI, the Klimaateffectatlas, the Leefbaarometer, Naturalis and PDOK. Each block shows its source. Tap ··· for an explanation.

What is the WOZ value?

The value the municipality sets for every home each year, as the basis for property taxes. It is public for every home in the Netherlands and a good indication of what a home is worth, although it lags behind the housing market.

What do the colours mean?

Green is favourable, ochre is average and red is unfavourable. We compare with the municipality, the WHO guideline or the classes the source itself uses. No colour means there is nothing to compare with.

A block says a source is not responding.

Then that source is temporarily unavailable. The rest of the report still works. Try again later with the Retry button in the block.

My address can’t be found.

Thuis Rapport only knows Dutch addresses from the official address register (BAG). Try without the addition, or search by street and town.

Where are my saved addresses stored?

Saved addresses, notes, your home address and your choice of blocks are stored on your device and in your own iCloud, so you also have them on your iPad or a new iPhone. Photos stay on your device only. We can’t see any of it.

How do I delete my data?

Choose “Remove from saved” for an address. Its note and photos are deleted too. If you delete the app, the photos on that device are gone as well.

Which devices does the app work on?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. On other devices you can use this website, which shows the same report (in Dutch).

Does it cost anything?

No. The website and the app are free. You don’t need an account and there are no ads.
